How I lost a stone in a week

This is a diet I was handed and told that it was designed to help people crash lose a stone for operations. I tried it and lost 14 lbs, so I’ll pass it along since I can’t find it anywhere else on the net.
 
Day Breakfast Lunch Dinner
1 1 slice dry toast

with 1 gilled tomato OR tinned tomatoes
Fresh fruit - any amount 2 hard boiled eggs

Salad & grapefruit
2 Grapefruit


1 boiled egg
Grilled chicken with tomatoes

Toast
Grilled steak

Salad
3 Grapefruit

1 boiled egg
Fresh fruit - any amount 2 grilled lamb chops

Salad & grapefruit
4 1 slice dry toast Fresh fruit - any amount 2 hard boiled eggs


Salad & grapefruit
5 1 slice dry toast Fresh fruit - any amount Fresh fish

Salad
6 1 glass grapefruit juice Fresh fruit - any amount Grilled chicken

Carrots & grapefruit
7 Scrambled eggs

Grilled or tinned tomatoes
2 poached eggs

Spinach
Grilled steak

Salad

Their Rules

  1. No alcoholic drinks.
  2. Permitted drinks: Black coffee, tea, lemon/grapefruit juice without sugar.
  3. No milk, butter or fats.
  4. NO EATING BETWEEN MEALS
  5. Abstain from all not included in diet. Eat what is shown or go without.
  6. ONLY DIET FOR ONE WEEK IN THREE - TWO WEEKS OFF
  7. No substitutes allowed. The basis of the diet is chemical, not the quantities.
  8. Lunch and dinner may be swapped but only on the same day.
  9. GUARANTEED TO LOSE ONE STONE IN ONE WEEK.

My Tips

  1. The grapefruit sourness is a lot more bearable with pink grapefruit. Also, if you have a sweet tooth normally, bear in mind that grapefruit sweetens a lot in the last stages of ripening.
  2. I am used to eating like a pig, and thus had a lot of “empty stomach - must fill” type feelings. Drinking lots of water filled me up temporarily.
  3. If you are desperate for flavour on some of the blander dishes, add a little lemon juice. On the list of allowed drinks and can pep up things nicely.
  4. If you try the diet and it works for you, leave me a comment. I’m curious to see if it works for other people.

    I have tried a very similar diet before, though it was a two week one and it seemed to work. Im going to try this diet, today being th efirst day, and will let you know how i get on. I was wondering if you can swap the lamb chops for either chicken or steak?

    I don’t know, but I’d imagine so. Looking at the chemical consituents of the diet, anything without fat should work. Remember to keep the portion size similar though.

    WHAT! and you still managed to lose a stone in a week???!!!fair enough, if it worked for you without exercise then well done. On a more personal note, did you do it for simple weight loss or before an operation?

    I’d love to lose a stone in a week, and could probably tough this one out. But, if I may ask, what did you weigh beforehand?
    I mean, if you weighed 13 stone beforehand that’s one thing, but if you were 16+ stone that’s quite another..

    I gave it a shot, and probably lost around 6-8 lbs. Not too bad, considering. I started at about 193 lbs.
    I started using a calorie tracker online as well, and it looks like this diet really does well for calorie restriction (around 1000-1200kcal/day) If your burning around 3000 kcal/day naturally, you’d expect to lose about 4 lbs/week just from that. So this came out ahead.
    What I did find, though, was that it’s not too hard to stick to this one. Good thing I like grapefruit juice…

    I tried it and lost 16 pounds in 1 week however I did 1 hour cardio and an hour of weights a day to I was 12.5 stone to start with!
    Now im just under 11.3 an im gunna keep going till I get to 10st!!

    I am planning on losing some weight for holidays as I’m a very very active lady, I do the gym 4 times a week, horseride, dance and swim but a recent injury meant the only excersize i could do was walk my dog and only just. I want to try this diet allthough I am curious as to how easy it is to stick to ?
    Also Dave, I’m sure it says one week because It doesn’t contain everything you need to keep your body healthy, or similair so therefore you need to go back to regular diet after a week before u can go again, however it will train you to eat less therefore you won’t eat as much on your weeks off as you would normally.

    well i started my second week in a row yesterday and finish my 2 weeks on saturday. Im going to stick it out and see what happens, then aftrwards just start a new healthier eating regime and exercise regularly. Its going well so far and as long as I keep myself busy I don’t really find it too difficult. I have also found that I feel full very quickly and cannot eat nearly as much as I used to. Only difficult part of the diet is COOKING!!!!!

    Alledgedly not, though looking at the calorie count, I’d imagine you would actually still lose weight.
    If it’s the sourness, try pink grapefruit, they’re sweeter. Still an aquired taste though.

    Oh ok, i have looked on a calorie count website and oranges are nealy double of grapefruit. But i did notice water melon is quite similar. http://www.calorie-count.com I know some people lose weight and you cant tell, but with this can you tell that weight has come off?

    Hi, my whole house started this diet today (after a weekend of bbq’s) Has anyone got any ideas for the fresh fish (dont usually eat it but ill give it a try… I do like halibut though and battered cod) also how to cook it? Its going well so far, im a big eater and have had some cravings today, but hopefully theyll pass as i get further into the week…

    You can steam or grill the fish easily. Wrap a piece up in aluminum foil, with some chopped garlic, spices, and lemon, and throw it in the oven. It’s a snap. Don’t use oils though.
    Salmon, tuna, and swordfish are my favorites.

    It’s not the same diet, but this one’s also designed for pre-operation weight loss. (It’s much better if u have a sweet tooth though!)
    It claims you can lose 10lbs in the three days and i lost six…so its still pretty good. You’re only supposed to do it once a week (3 days on…4 days off)
    Hope it’s helpful if you don’t have the willpower to stick to the above one.
    I’m on day 2 of the week one and its goin well though.
    Day 1
    BREAKFAST
    Black Coffee or Tea
    1/2 Grapefruit or Juice
    1 slice of Toast with 1 Tbsp. Peanut Butter
    LUNCH
    4ozs Tuna
    1 slice of Toast
    Black Coffee or Tea
    DINNER
    2 slices of any lean meat (hot or cold)
    1 cup Green Beans
    4oz Beetroot
    1 Apple 4ozs regular Vanilla Ice Cream
    Day 2
    BREAKFAST
    Black Coffee or Tea
    1 Egg
    1 slice of Toast
    1/2 large Banana or 1 small
    LUNCH
    4ozs Cottage Cheese or Tuna
    8 regular crackers (Tuc or Ritz)
    Black Coffee or Tea
    DINNER
    2 Frankfurters (Hot Dog Sausages)
    4ozs Broccoli or Cabbage
    2oz Carrots
    1/2 small Banana + 1 Apple or 1 large banana 4ozs regular Vanilla Ice Cream
    Day 3
    BREAKFAST
    Black Coffee or Tea
    5 regular crackers (Tuc or Ritz)
    1 oz. Cheddar Cheese
    1 Apple
    LUNCH
    1 Boiled Egg
    1 slice of Toast
    Black Coffee or Tea
    DINNER
    4ozs Tuna
    1oz Beetroot
    4ozs Cauliflower

    The only reason that 3 day diet allows you to lose weight is because caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee and cola, can act as mild diuretics, which means they make the body produce more urine. So in fact, you’re just losing water weight and not actual fat.

    i want to lose a stone, so i’m gonna try this diet. it seems to work for other people, hope it does for me. i tried that special k one.. you have 2 bowls for breakfast and lunch and then have a healthy meal for dinner. but.. it didnt work for me

    If anyone needs to lose weight mega quick, i did this for 2 weeks (well 3 days left but im on course for the full 2 stone loss).
    I ate 1 grapefruit around noon and a packet of prawns in the evening!
    Plus i exercised for 2 hours per day. I wouldnt recommend it, but the weight flies off! But you must lift sum weights so you dont lose muscle instead of fat.
    Also drink loads of water and try hard not to die. I had to lose two stone for something and had no choice. I was 12 now 10 and a half with 3 days left.

    Started this diet two day’s ago and have lost 5lbs already.I love boiled eggs and grapefruit and all of the other things allowed. Have also had a glass of wine each eve topped up with spring water. Fantastic !!!!

    Can you use any vegetarian alternatives instead of the meat?…such as fish, tofu or quorn products? Or if not, will it have a big effect on the ammount of weight lost and kept off if you go with anything?

    Kramer auto Pingback[...] Throwing up? Lol, is it such a bad thing to make yourself throw up just once in a while when you over step your daily "allowance" lol. I’m not turning into a Ballemic or whatever they care called but i wouldnt mind doing it sometimes just on those days where i eat too much.     HEy, I just started today and it’s going alright… I’m not an egg person though and found it a little hard to stomach through the 2 boiled ones for dinner. Does anyone know if there’s something else I could eat instead? Any suggestions would be helpful.

    I started on monday and and now very hunry but have followed it to the letter, lost 5 pound was 10 stone and want to be 9 stone again, i am starving today had one egg and grapefruit today think i will have my dinner in a min before i pass out, can’t exercise at all i go shacky, can i have bananas on the eat fruit for dinner days.

    Hi, I’m on day 1 of the diet, and feeling quite good, i don’t eat a lot of fruit so it’s been really good that i have had 4 pieces for lunch!! I have weighed myself and am 11.2 so hoping to be 10.6 by the end of the diet, it’s healthy for you the foods recommended and eating salad fruit and fish are on every diet so if anything it will kick start me into my healthy eating plan, I have been drinking loads of water too

    Well thats just it Steph, you do have to eat exactly what it says because it is a chemical diet designed to lose weight before ops! Its only a week how hard can it be to stick to a diet for 1 week without trying to change it? I dont like Grapefruit but im still eating the dam thing!

    I have been on diet since friday its now sunday morn and i am hooked this diet is so good but you need will power, so far i have lost over 4lbs, i have completely missed out the grapefruit part as i loathe it and it doesnt seem to make a difference also i have had chicken on the steak and lamb days as its the only meat i like, will post another update at the end.

    Hi, just a quick 1, i tryed this diet 3 weeks ago, it’s the best thing i’ve ever done i lost just under 15ibs and i’m now doing it again as i’ve still got a couple more stone to lose, hopefully i will be able to keep the weight off aswel after, i am having a couple of weeks off this but still eating healthier but only loosing a couple of ibs awk.     Hey! i started a low carb diet 3days ago, plus walking the dogs most mornings for half hour! I had a quik look on the scales this morning thinking there would be no change and i lost a few pounds already!! so i am gonna start this 1 week diet for a kick start and go bak to my low carb after that!!!
    Im soo glad i found this site, and i love boiled eggs!! i can have a little mayo with this low carb diet as it only had 1g of carbs in it :)im 14stone now and wanna get bak to 10!!! also i will join the gym, watch this space,lol!

    Hi there third attempt at starting this diet. This time have manged to keep to it. It is day 3 for me and the hardest thing i found previously was the weekends and also the willpower. This time started on thursday and am not baneed people from coming round at the weekend and as i said stuck with it. On day 2 flet really bad hunger pangs but ok now.Lost 4 lbs already was 9 12 and am 9 8.
    Also have had no bowel movements is this normal?

    Hey there. i have searched everywhere on the net for almost an hour on various search engines for this exact diet and only just found it so THANK YOU!!! I deleted it off my coputer before i left wor instead ofsaving it. I only got to day four last time i tried it and didn’t comlee it (made it up to lunch time) and i had lost half a stone by then. It didn’t come straight back on either but i was a bit more careful with my eating habits for a long time afterward. It helps kick start you in to the right sort of regime overall and if you can stik out the seven days, I have no doubt you will acheive your goal. I may post back after COMPLETEING a week! lol

    hi guys, glad to see this diet is working for ya all! I’m gonna start on mon and do it for 2 weeks. I weight 10 stone so far and am aiming for 8 as i am such a shorty!
    Question- please can anyone recommend a substitue for the breakfast on the days where it says brown toast as im not a fan of toast. maybe a grapefruit? or an egg?

    Hello there. My wife and I tried this diet three years ago. My wife did it twice. On the first occasion she managed four days and lost 6 lbs. On the second attempt she managed to complete the week and lost 15 lbs! This motivated me to try it and i managed to lose 12 lbs in one week. The weight did not come back on and i managed to lose several pounds more by implementing sensible eating habits based loosely around eating less, the GI principles and avoiding too many carbs. I was initially 12st 9lbs. After this diet i was 11st 11lbs and went on to get down to 10st 10lbs.
    Over the last two years my weight has creaped back up again and I weighed-in this morning at 11st 6lbs. I lost my copy of this diet and was therefore delighted to find it here. I am starting again today and hope to reach 10st 7lbs by this time next week.
    By the way, when we did the diet last time my wife insisted that she had read somewhere that no nintake of salt, pepper, vinegar, garlic or any such flavouriings was permitted. This made for some miserable meals i can tell you. I am nmot sure if she is correct. Does anyone know? I would be so grateful for your advise on this one. For now I will assume she was incorrect and will use basic flavourings. Thanks. Rahim (London)

    When i did it last time i did not do any stenuous excersice, just a little more walking than usual. Personally i would not recommend doing two weeks in a row. See what progress you make in a week and after that if you want to lose more weight try again in two or three weeks time. The weight did stay off last time and only started to come back when I began to slip up in my eating habits. Good Luck for the week to come!

    Well, I have done this twice, and the first time I had no real seasoning, but the second time I did. There was no real difference (except for sating that need to eat something that isn’t completely bland. I used tobasco and vinegar based flavourings on the basis that it’s chemically similar to other acid based stuff you are allowed such as lemon juice. It’s probably not a great idea to use things that have added sugar etc…but it’s like 800 calories a day, it’s barely managed starvation. You will lose weight.

    Hi All. Day One completed. I have stuck to the programme except for a tiny amount of vinegar in the salad this evening and some skimmed milk powder with my tea. I am really pleased to read in the message above that you have tried this before and added some seasoning. That makes things considerably easier.
    Does anyone know whether the fruit can be eaten throughout the day or just at the meal times? I imagine meal times only is probably safer!
    Additionally, does anyone know if any of the salad and friut items are restricted?
    Finally, sorry, i do not know if you can swap beef for the chicken. What I do know is that here in the uk, where we have had an outbreak of Avian Flu this week, the scientists are adamant that there has never been a single case worldwide of anyone catching Bird Flu from EATING an infected animal, so the risk with chicken is minimal.

    I’m doing a similar diet and its a bit more bearable than the one above but it works the same!!Just incase any of you are struggling with this one
    The rules
    Are simple. You follow the diet as written.
    No substitutions, no cheating, and no starting this diet wihout consulting your doctor first.
    You will lose weight fast, and a lot of it, so make sure your body is ready for it.
    There is nothing listed in the diet menus that cannot be found anywhere.

    Hi there all. I am just starting day three. I have lost 3 lbs already. It feels like it is getting easier. Yesterday felt really hard and I kept thinking about giving up but today i feel more encouraged and less tired.
    Sammi, you can drink grapefruit juice instead of eating grapefruits. I did that last time and lost 12 lbs in a week.
    Natasha. Good Luck. As for excercise you cant do too much on this diet as you are not consuming enough calories and may damage your health if you excercise too much. I would advise regular brisk walks, perhaps 30 minutes twice a day. Believe me, if you stick to the diet you WILL shift that weight.
    I will keep an eye out for your progress.

    Hi there. I have completed five full days. This morning, the start of day five i weighed in at 11st 1 or 2 lbs. That means i have lost 4 to 5 lbs in as many days.
    I have cheated a little bit with skimmed milk in my tea and some vinegar and tabasco dressings to the salad and grilled meat. I also ate 4 lamb chops instead of two. I don’t mind if i don’t lose a whole stone. Last time i lost less than a stone during the diet but was motivated by that weight loss to lose more through healthy eating afterwards.
    Natasha, as for bananas, i usually eat one per fruit session. I did that last time as well.
    Something i remember from last time is that most of the weight came off right at the end of the diet. I’m hoping the same happens again.

For the vegetable moussaka you’ll need 500g aubergines, thinly sliced, 120g corn oil, 225g onions, thinly sliced, 5g garlic, crushed, 225 chopped mushrooms, 280g cooked red split lentils, a handful of torn basil leaves, 2 bay leaves, 25g tomato puree, 250g tomatoes, sliced, 500g boiled potatoes, 500g white sauce made with skimmed milk, 2 small eggs and 150g grated mature cheddar cheese. Fry the aubergines with half of the oil and drain. Fry the onions and garlic in the remaining oil and add the mushrooms, lentils and tomato puree. Now add the bay leaves and basil leaves, season, cook for 5 minutes and spread onto the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Layer with aubergines, followed by the tomatoes and then the potatoes.     hey. i play rugby and i have had a really bad injury. i had to have an operation so i have been out of training for a while. during this peroid i have gained 1 stone and i am back playing. so i have been training and i find it really hard to eat less as i need energy to train and i am hungry after training. i have not been playing as well and i am very concerned about this. i have tried starting this diet but broke it on the second day!!! can anyone give me advice on how to make me feel less hungry. i am also feeling weak and tired. can someone help me please.

Think i messed the diet up a little tho because i ate scrambled eggs on dry toast instead of havin the egg salad and the toast for breakfast…hhmm..probably not the best idea. just guna have fruit for dinner. i’m guna follow it to the letter for the rest of the week! i have 2 stones to lose this in 4wks!

    p.s- are you exercising too? also, have u tried putting salt n pepper on the boiled eggs? i’m quite likin them, tho im finding it hard not to snack! And yeh- the grapefruit is really good. gonna keep that up after the diet.

    Hey Natasha, Glad your having an active day, im at home having lunch now just tried the grilled chicken on dry toast and as Borat say’s “I LIKE” The answer to your question is Yes i do exercise I did an hour in the gym the last 2 days, and i do weights at home, going straight to the gym tonight as i’m doing a half marathon at the end of the month. I do use salt n pepper and i use soy sauce occassionally as well to taste things up abit. The graefruit is fab as well, the pink one is defo alot nicer than the other!!!!

    yeh i’m enjoyin the food to be honest, just findin it hard not to snack. I’m redoing day 1 as i think im not meant to combine the eggs n toast lol. oops. with only 3wks till my hol, i am definately following this to the letter.     haha hey paul, ya make me laugh! i know exactly how ya feel this diet is a bugger to do lik! i went out last nite and had a few drinks and an extra slice of toast. think im guna relax today (but not go crazy) then start tomorrow. it is officially 3wks tomorrow that i go to texas so im guna try to stick to it for 2 weeks straight. have ya considered increasing portions rather than breakin it? lik have 2 slices toast n 2 chick breasts n more salad etc. also try bananas for lunch. i have been trainin lik 3hrs a day and i need to bananas to keep going. let me know if ya fancy climbing back on the bandwagon with me tomorrow! I have seen a dress i want lol, sure ya can’t relate to that like but it’s helpin me want to stick to this evil diet!hope ya ok anyways hun, keep goin!!     hi guys- first of all im pretty sure it is workin tho i keep breakin it at dinner time so im probs not the best person to ask. all i can say is that i think half a stone by 23rd is very do-able esp. if ya have a bit of weight to lose- do u? the diet is hard and requires lots of planning but i find i9t relatively nutritos. make sure ya drink lots of water tho! very important.
    becky- how much do ya weigh now? if ya have 2-3 months i would do it for one week of 2 of the months. make sure ya stick to it to the letter and try drinkin green tea at the same time. if ya havent got much weight to lose ya will be better exercising and perhaps just doing it for the 1 week.
    let me know if i can help you further. i fin my diet next mon as paul and i only started yest so ill let ya know how it goes!

    can i ask- to find your BMI did they measure ya fat percentage or have they figured it out from ya weight and height on a chart? As if they have taken a body fat percentage test, ya shud do some weights to burn the fat fast. however, if it is measured by weight and height then you wud really benefit from some cardio. can u do any exercise with the condition your in may i ask?

    My BMI was worked out by my weight and height , I have had lots of ops over the last 2 years, due to endometrosis, which had strangled my bowel and I had an emergency op to remove part of my bowel, when I came round, I also had a colostomy, as the surgens thought the tumours were cancer, finally last Jan (06) I had a dual op consisting of a full hystorectomy, my insides cleaned of all endrometriosis and the clostomy reversed-unfortunately I got MRSA and my tummy has been left in a bad way and I am hopefully going in for plastic surgery on the 3rd April, only I was told yesterday, that if I did not get my BMI down to below 26 the op would be cancelled, so you can understand why this diet really has to work for me,
    I am exerising at home using a lateral thigh trainer, however I am on medication which keeps the weight on me, since Jan 06 I have put on 2+1/2 stone and gone from a size 12 to a 16+
    The weight side does not bother me but I really want the plastic surgery and tummy tuck for my self esteem, as it not a nice sight!
    going for my salad now, I have found today quite easy…so far??????

    I first got the thigh trainer 2 years ago and used it for about a month and I did start to see a difference, but then -I got ill and with all the stomach trouble ,I have not used it, have started using it again after xmas only have not kept it up ,however I am going to use it every day whilst i am on this diet,just to give it a try -
    What do you guys put in your salad - I had lettuce, tomato, red pepper, celery,spring onion and beetroot - is this okay???
    I have eaten more today than I normally eat - my god chicken and steak tomorrow - are you sure this will help me loose weight?????

    the reason i have switched is because i exercise 4hrs a day and with working in a nightclub at night (and not stoppin all day!) i found that i needed snacks. this diet is ideal for those who need to eat more frequently and it is also very healthy as there is a great rejuvenation soup and lots of fruit and veg involved. the diet discussed on this forum is fantastic and if you can follow it i think it’ll work- just personally i need more food. however, if this fat burn diet doesnt work ill go back to this.

    wow I am surving - I am starting day 3 and I have weighed myself this morning and I now weigh 11st 10 I have lost 4 lb in 2 days…..i dont like tea or coffee with out milk but I have found lady grey bearable , but I have mostly been drinking water, not usually a lover of grapefriut, but I bought some red ones from tesco’s and they are quite nice and sweet. try also green tea - it is well known for its weight lose propeties , my sister is trying green tea tablets as they are suposed to shift the weight from your waist line????
    I can beleive it - I only need to lose another 4lb and i will be ok to have my op - wow!
    good luck Karen and becky - i will keep you updated through out the day, I find if I need a snack or get a hunger pain, logging back on here and reading evryones comments gives you motivation, and you forget the hunger!

    I am on day 7 and boiling up a bit of spinach as we speak.
    So far the diet does seem to be working, I have definately lost weight but as I don’t weigh myself I can’t say in pounds, however my jeans are loose now :)
    I will say that this diet is not for those who lack willpower as you can feel quite hungry at times and need to be strict. I found that keeping myself busy and having a chug of grapefruit juice helped to stave off the hunger. I also ate my meals as late as possible…i.e breakfast at 11, lunch at 3 and dinner at 7. Once you pass day 4 you are laughing

    Had a good day yesterday ate everything i should.

    Hi everyone , I am day seven and I am really starting to see the inches come off as well as the weight, I weighed in this morning at 11st 4lb but I find as the day goes on the weight comes off , so I am possibly lighter now! any way up to now I am 10lb lighter than I was when I started the diet, so for me its worked, I am going to have 3 days off - I will just eat healthy and then start back again, i would love to drop to below 11 stone and I would be happy going down to 10and a half, so thats my goal!

    i think perhaps you should eat a bit more that a apple for lunch cut up lots of fresh fruit and eat as much as you can hun or you will be very tired and the water should be tap water the flavoured waters can still contain lots of sugar . try and make sure you have exactly whats on the diet its the chemicals in the food that makes this diet work good luck ill let you know how i get on also my first day today and have got through it well so far !!

    ok day 2 today got up feeling pleased bcos i didnt give in last night when i felt starving hungry so made a cuppa black tea and sipped it that helped , i also ache bcos i did lots of exercise yesterday but thats a good thing bcos its obviously working hehe so every 1 else good luck with day 2 keep with it we can do it if i can any 1 can lol
    my only downfall so far is a sweetner in my tea or coffee first thing in the morning so can be to bad can it let me know how your all getting on thanks debs x

    hi guys, im abit disappointed with myself because i dont have string enough will power to do this diet, espeically since im at uni an have two jobs, so its difficult to blanace the meals n i usually snack on an orange when im hungry.
    I have however lost half a stone in a week!
    I bought a trampoline so ive been jumping around on that for an hour a day, and doing general toning up exercises helped aswell.
    Not quite there with the washbaord tum yet, but half a stone in a week is good enough for me, an all i did was have salad an grapefruit juice off this diet!
    Still got 4 months before my hol so the weight will be off!!
    Good luck to you guys, i know you need willpower, just dont cave like me!
    Have found a new diet that works too, the speical k thing works, and theyve got a new scrummy cereal too, the speical k bliss one with chocolate and strawberry!

    hi guys, has anyone done this and been missin things out? i know it says if ya dont wanna eat something dont substitute but will i not lose as much if i miss meals (lik breakfast) . does this diet work by me having every meal or will it work better with the lower calorie option i seem to be doing today? (only had a plum and a peach) the reason i ask is not because i wanna be a twiggy twig n lose 10stone in a wk, more because i find that eatin brekkie makes me starvin by lunch!

    breakfast:1 boiled egg lunch:grilled chicked nd ice pop nd 5 harbio sweets(not a packet just the little sweets) dinner:salad with mushrooms nd i drank sum mango juice,i fill really bad i havent stuck 2 it :(

    well ive finished day 2 lot easier today than yesterday , i felt as if id lost weight and i weighed myself and its says ive lost 6lbs but we will see at the end of the week but if thats right and im only on day 2 then thats fab it is very hard but im going to stick with it but bear in mind i was just over 14 stone so have quite a bit to lose good luck all tmoz stick with it we can do it !!

    im not sure about whether eatin sumthin else stops ya losin weight all together- after all your eating around 800 cals a day so ya will lose it but in order to lose the stone i would stick to it by the letter. is there somthin u dont lik or are u havin snacks? im a terrible snacker but when i need a snack i just try n occupy myself- take a shower, a walk, do 100 situps read the paper or a mag…if ya really strugglin u cud put a pic up of the body u want (a photo or a mag image) n look at it. also u cud try herbal tea, i have a sweet tooth n drink peppermint n liquorice when i get cravings. i’ve come up with loads of game plans for moments of weakness, u just have to think about wat drives u to diet and wat ur goals are n then make some form of stimuli to power through. if all else fails down a pint of water (not with meal tho).

    natasha i had 2 chicken breasts and 1 toast and 1 tomatoe was quite a bit of dinner really and was satisfied after i know not as satisfied as i would have been after fish n chips lololol but heyho we are trying ,
    emma im sure if you carried on and dont cheat again u will still have a really good loss hun dont beat yourself up over it theres alwasy tmorrow but ya do feel bad when u really wanna do it i know , im on day 3 and have had some times where i could kill for something else not on the diet but im off on hols in may and really wanna do this so i can look half decent on the beach lol gl all let us know how you r all getting on debs xx

    But not going to give in by tmrw only will have three days to go!!!!!
    Im not seeing any signs of weight loss though and i am running and doing weights everyday too!

    hi debs, cheers hun. think i messed up i dunno. i swapped dinner n lunch so i had minced meat instead of steak but only tiny bit with few tomatoes n sweetcorn, think ill only have a slice of toast for dinner not bothered about the chicken. do u think that will be ok? or do i have to eat it all? because its chemical im sure whether ruinin it by not eatin it all or by wat i did at lunch! help!

    hi guys hope ya all ok. i weighe myself after day2 and have lost 1/4 of a stone already…plus i have really broken it! how has that happened? i only weighed 10stone to start with too! to b honest i cant see any difference yet though, did this happen to anyone else? how much do i need to lose b4 i see results? i am soooo stickin to this to the letter for the next 5 days and then another wk after! my bday on sun and im off out but there will b no alcohol! none! i’m on a mission- i want to be 8stone by the end of the month. keep it up guys and thanks for the advice about stickin to it exact. xxx

    i am soooo upset when i started this diet a week ago from now i was 10.12 i weighed my self today as i have finished the 7 days and i was first 10.5 then after 1 hour i was 10.6, firstly i ate exactly wot iam supposed to eat and secondly iv only lost 6 pounds whyyyyyyyyy i feel so demotivated p***ed off and i feel like stuffing my face. concidering i didnt cheat and i kept my portion size at a mudium size why has this happened plzzzz someone help me, i had the same problem with the cambridge diet but i knw that was down to eating on my weigh day and every week i would stay at 10.5
    someone plz plz figure out why i only lost 5/6 pounds and everyone else has near enuf lost 14

    rite i have a favour to ask any of you guys who have had good results, feel motivated and who want to help. i’ve been writing on this site for a month and still not managed more than 3 days. i go away in 10days to see my boyfriend who i havent seen in 4 months…basically im desperate. my prob is that i am surrounded by overweight people who put me off losing weight- even my best friend keeps rubbing food in my face. this sounds so sad and vain but i am seriously desperate to sort this out- not just for my weight but because they are now coming out with comments like ‘ya ll never last the week’. i need some ppl who want me to do this, if ya think ya can and dont mind givin me a pep talk wil ya let me know. whether by fone or email, ill be appreciative of any help! sorry to ask, i know u guys are all doin so well!

    hey hun prove your friends wrong stick with it 100 % and show them all that you can do it it has got to really hard for you though if there not giving you any support tell them if they are really and truely your friends they would stick by you and support you all the way , i was told no way can you do that for the whole week well i have im on day 6 now 1 day left to go havent weighed since the other day and im not going to untill monday morning to see how ive done in the whole week , even if i get under the stone of ill be happy its given me a real boost to carry on the only thing im worried about is putting it bk on in the 2 weeks i have off we will see i will up date you all and let you know but you can do it hun its a week out of your life but i agree its a very hard diet to stick to and a few times ive thought ohh i want proper food but then thought again that im unhappy over weight stick with it and i have YOU CAN DO IT HUN !!!
